The effect of total quality management on business competitive advantage is investigated based on Resource Based View. The mediating effect of innovation capability between total quality management and competitive advantage is also analyzed from the perspective of Dynamic Capability View. A proposed research model and the hypotheses were testified by using survey data from 110 manufacturing and services firms, the results show that the total quality management has a positive impact on competitive advantage, and innovation capability plays full mediation role between TQM and competitive advantage.
