Abstract:Study on the mechanism of agricultural productivity growth from the perspective of regional scientific and technological progress. Using the panel data of Guangdong province in 2006-2015 on agricultural productivity method based on DEA-Malmquist productivity index (TFP) was calculated and decomposed, and the Pearl River Delta, from East and West, poor mountainous areas 24 small regional level of regional scientific and technological progress on agricultural productivity impact. The results show that: the main source of productivity growth in Guangdong province is regional scientific and technological progress; there are significant regional scientific and technological progress differences in the growth of TFP in Guangdong; the difference of TFP regional science and technology and the ability of Industrial Science and technology innovation. Based on this, the paper puts forward some suggestions on promoting agricultural development in Guangdong from policy decision.
