Abstract:Focusing on integrity and coordination and basing on combing the relationship among human capital, social capital and research performance, this paper choses the core variables from human capital and social capital as condition variables to analyze jointly. Based on the data of 91 high performance scholars, the paper uses fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis method to explore the linkage effect and path of each condition variable on scholars' achievement of high research performance. Based on the six configurations, this paper summarizes the four types of high-performance researchers with distinct characteristics, and puts forward the types of scholars, namely comprehensive type, extensive cooperation type, intermediary leading type and precise cooperation type. It analyzes the main reasons for various types of scholars to achieve high research performance and puts forward the following policy recommendations: universities and research institutes should encourage scholars to cooperate extensively and precisely, and give full play to the advantages of these two ways of cooperation. At the same time, universities and research institutes should also fully understand the shortcomings of extensive cooperation type scholars and precise cooperation type scholars, and help them actively. Comprehensive type scholars and intermediary leading type scholars need to find a breakthrough to increase their research influence.
