Abstract:Green building projects have risk characteristics such as high incremental cost, high construction difficulty, regional differences and so on. Based on the perspective of general contractors, this research proposes a chain risk management framework for green building projects under the EPC model. First, through a large number of literature studies and expert interviews, identify the risk sources, risk events, and risk results during the implementation of the green building project. Then, make a preliminary judgment to build risk chains. Next, through the issuance and collection of 223 valid questionnaires, use the Structural Equation Model (SEM) to explore the causal relationship between various risk indicators and find the key risk chains. Finally, the risk management suggestion at design, procurement, and construction stage are put forward. This research provides EPC general contractors with effective risk management of green building projects to ensure the realization of quality, cost, schedule and other goals.
