Abstract:Taking CNKI database and WoS core database as the source of literature, taking the literature in the field of agricultural innovation adoption from 2000 to 2020 as the object, this paper systematically analyzes the literature characteristics, core forces, cooperation networks and research hotspots of agricultural innovation adoption research based on the knowledge mapping constructed by SATI, Gephi and CiteSpace. The results show that: (1) the literature output in the field of agricultural innovation adoption shows an exponential growth trend, both at home and abroad. The domestic related literature has a faster growth rate but a smaller scale than foreign literature. Agricultural innovation adoption is a multi-interdisciplinary field intersected by agriculture, economy, management science and resources science. Chinese Rural Economy and Agricultural Economics are representative journals at home and abroad respectively. (2) The United States is the leading country in this field. Agricultural colleges and research institutions are the main force in this field. Qaim M and Zhang Junbiao are high-output authors. (3) The national cooperation network is centered on the United States, Germany, Australia and other countries. The cooperation networks of foreign institutions and authors are developed and closely connected, while that of domestic institutions and authors are loose and lack of interaction. (4) Ex-ante assessment, decision-making behavior and ex-post evaluation are the main topics in the field of agricultural innovation adoption. Foreign research is becoming increasingly mature, but the space for in-depth research is limited. Domestic research is becoming more and more comprehensive, but more breakthroughs and innovations are needed. (5) The foreign research on agricultural innovation adoption has shown a development trend of continuous deepening of perspectives, continuous innovation of approaches, and continuous integration of technologies. Although domestic research has shown a trend of expanding perspectives, diversifying methods and subjects, it still lags behind foreign research as a whole and needs to be improved in terms of research depth and breadth. The new business entities are the objects that need to be focused on in the future.
