[Abstract]
Based on WSR (Wuli-Shili-Renli) system approach, the paper reveals the enabling mechanism of digitalization for integration development of regional science technology (S T) and economics. Configuration analysis method is used to determine the matching relationship between regional S T and economic development level, and the combination of digitalization behaviors. Geographical detector is used to determine the priority for digitalization behaviors in different configurations. The results show that with the rising of the integration degree, the regional digitalization enabling should shift from digitalization infrastructure construction focusing on changing Wuli factors to digitalization policy promulgation focusing on changing Renli factors, and then to digitalization enterprise applications and digitalization technology innovation focus on changing Shili factors. The interactions of digitalization behaviors have two-factor enhancement relationship; therefore, the application of digitalization behaviors combination should be strengthened by the regions to achieve better enabling effect. Under the configuration with digitalization application and technology as the core condition, the interactions of digitalization behaviors are much stronger, which reflects the higher integration and systematic character of the high-level digitalization combination. The region should take proper digitalization combinations and orders to promote S T integration development based on its integration grade.
