Abstract:By using the DEA method based on directional distance function, the paper evaluates carbon dioxide emissions performance of Chinese 30 provinces during 2007-2011, and analyzes its influencing factors. The main results show that carbon dioxide emissions performance of Chinese provinces maintains a annual growth rate of 0.1%, which is caused by an improvement of technical efficiency, and more provinces take on technical boundary "invaginations" phenomenon;Carbon dioxide emissions performance difference of Chinese provinces is obvious, the eastern and northeastern provinces have a higher carbon dioxide emissions performance, while that of the central and western provinces is low, which is caused by regional differences of technical progress; The analysis of influencing factors of carbon dioxide emissions performance shows that carbon dioxide emissions performance can be inhibited by energy intensity, the level of economic development, industrial structure optimization and opening to the outside world have a significant promoting effect on it, but the effect of degree of marketization on it is not obvious.
