Abstract:This paper analyzes the relationship between employees’ playfulness and creativity from the perspective of individuals and organizations. Through reviewing the literature on adult playfulness, it develops a model include playfulness, creativity, burnout, employee engagement, playfulness climate. This study suggests that not only playfulness has a positive direct impact on the creativity of employees, but also burnout can mediate the relationship between them. In addition, it suggests that employee engagement and playfulness climate are the moderators between playfulness and creativity. At last, this paper proposes the practical significance of the model.
