知识集中度与企业绩效的U型关系——基于IT行业上市公司的实证研究

U-Shape Relationship between Knowledge Concentration and Firm Performance: An Empirical Research Based on IT Industry Listed Companies

基于发明专利和实用新型专利数据,借鉴赫芬达尔指数的构造方法,构建指标测量企业的知识集中度,以73家IT行业上市公司为样本,对搜寻行为(探索和挖掘)的知识集中度与企业绩效的关系进行实证研究,发现不同类型搜寻行为的知识集中度对企业绩效的影响是不同的：探索行为的知识集中度与企业绩效呈“U”型关系,挖掘行为的知识集中度与企业绩效呈倒“U”型关系。

Abstract:

Based on the patent data of invention and utility model, this study used Herfindahl index method to construct index in order to measure knowledge concentration. It also emphasizes on empirical study of search behavior knowledge concentration and firm performance by taking 73 IT industry listed companies as sample. The result shows that different types of search behavior knowledge concentration have distinguished effect on firm performance: U-shape relationship has been found between firm performance and knowledge concentration of exploration. Oppositely, inverted U-shape relationship has been found between firm performance and knowledge concentration of exploitation.
