Abstract:Dynamic Shift-Share Analysis Model is applied to study industrial structure and competitiveness of agriculture in Guangdong province between 2003 and 2012. The results show that the development of agriculture and its farming, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery sectors in Guangdong province are mainly driven by the country's development; the structural adjustment of agriculture in Guangdong province has been influenced, but the structural effect are negative in farming and animal husbandry sectors whose internal structure still need to be adjusted; uncompetitive are been found in agriculture and its sectors which is the main factor limits their development. Therefore, enhance the competitiveness of agriculture in the process of structural adjustment would be more effective in promoting the agriculture development in Guangdong province.
