“核心能力”是企业获取持续竞争力的保障,也是企业战略实施的基础,认识“核心能力”有助于我们理解企业的特征及其背后商业模式的运行逻辑。深圳华大基因作为近年来涌现的新型科研机构,兼具企业和科研组织的特征,外界对其定位存在争议,但更多是热闹有余,深刻不足。本文对华大创新实践进行梳理和分析,探究其“核心能力”形成的现实背景及构建路径,总结概括其“核心能力”的特征,从而为建立能够反映“基于科学的创新”模式内在规律的政策框架提供启示。

Abstract:

"Core Competence" is the guarantee for enterprise to obtain continuous competitiveness and the basis of strategy implementation. The understanding of core competence could help us comprehend the characteristics of enterprise and the logic of its business model. BGI in Shenzhen emerged as a new type of research institutions in China in recent years, which has both the characteristics of enterprise and research organization. There are some debates on its orientation and function, although heated but superficial and lack of depth. This article analyzes the innovation practice of BGI, and probes into its background and the evolution path of core competence, summarizes its features, so as to provide support for establishing policy framework that can reflect "science-based innovation" patterns.
