Abstract:The article takes the high-tech industries of China"s coastal regions as the research object, makes use for spatial dynamic shift-share model, and adopts the method of economic weight matrix, to measure six major high-tech industrial competitiveness using data from 2008-2012. The results show that it is reasonable to take spatial dynamic shift-share model to analysis of high-tech industry competitive situation along the coastal area of China; The competitiveness of high-tech industries along the coastal area of China has dynamic change, which is influenced by surrounding areas; the Guangdong province has the highest competitiveness in hi-tech industries, Jiangsu, Shandong and Hebei province take second place; Coastal three municipalities show be flat in the hi-tech industries competitiveness; Zhejiang, Fujian, Liaoning, Guangxi province is relatively lagging in hi-tech industry development.
