Abstract:High efficient production and transformation of knowledge is one of the key elements to measure the degree of economic development. Following the global knowledge competitiveness measurement index system, we divided the knowledge innovation process into the stages of production and transformation, from the perspective of efficiency, use the method of super-efficiency DEA to measure and analyze the knowledge power of 33 Asia-Pacific regions. It is found that: (1) Among the Chinese regions, only Beijing has both the high efficiency of two stages while Shanghai and Tianjin have high efficiency of knowledge production but low efficiency of transformation; (2) Although most religions achieve decent efficiency of knowledge production stages, the efficiency of knowledge transformation is generally low among the Asia-Pacific regions; (3)Shanghai has better equilibrium of knowledge input-output structure than other regions in the mainland of China, Beijing has larger degree of input-output deviation and greater volatility of two-stage input.
