Abstract:The development and prosperity of societies have great impetus for enhancing innovation ability, and building Chinese characteristics innovation system according with the law of science and technology development. This paper selects three related variables, including the number of societies, academic exchanging activities and authorized patents, and analyzes the influence of societies development to innovation applying VAR method, based on the statistical data of Chinese Science Society activities and authorized patents from 1998 to 2012. The result shows that, the number of societies and academic exchanging activities are significant factors which affect the number of authorized patents, and the number of societies and academic exchanging activities have a positive promoting effect to authorized patents. Besides, the promoting effect and contribution of academic exchanging activities are greater than the number of societies. In the final, this paper puts forward three suggestions, such as developing societies strongly, to play an active role as a pillar in building national innovation system; improving the quality of academic exchanging activities, to enhance the innovation-driving effect; strengthening the capacity of taking the government transferring function, to open up new innovation-driving path.
