Abstract:The function of higher education is mainly for personnel training and scientific research. Industry-University-Research mode is a mechanism which can give full play to the functions in colleges and universities. Information chain theory is an effective tool of analyzing and constructing organizations’ collaborative mechanism. This paper explores and builds up collaborative development model of Industry-University-Research in universities from the perspective of information chain theory, which includes linear information chain structure, reticular information chain structure and integrative information chain structure. It comes to the conclusion that the integrative information chain structure of Industry-University-Research in universities is optimized through the theoretical analysis and a case study in Tianjin. It also provides reference for collaborative development of Industry-University-Research in universities.
