Abstract:The regional difference of agricultural science and technology progress contribution rate is estimated with the use of Solow residual method. Research has shown that the spatial lag model is more suitable for the analysis of regional difference of the agricultural science and technology progress contribution rate. The agricultural technology progress contribution rate is higher in Shanghai, Beijing, Zhejiang, Guangdong and other developed areas, while lower in Anhui, Inner Mongolia, Hubei, Henan and other major grain producing areas. Based on the development goal of agricultural science and technology progress contribution rate to achieve 60% above in 2020 and five development ideas, put forward the suggestions on improving regional agricultural science and technology progress contribution rate.
