Abstract:Under the background of low-carbon economy, in order to study the manufacturer’s choice of low carbon technology, this paper consider government’s tax, subsidies and consumers’ environmental awareness simultaneously. The manufacturer’s optimal decisions, total carbon emissions of dirty technology, low-carbon technology and multi-technology were obtained and analyzed, moreover, the impact of consumers’ environmental awareness, carbon tax and subsidies on the manufacturer’s total carbon emissions and profit under three technologies were examined. It shows that manufacturer will choose multi-technology when the subsidies of low carbon technology is big and consumers’ environmental awareness is strong, otherwise, manufacturer will not choose low carbon technology; through implementing market segmentation, the manufacturer’s profits of multi-technology always higher than produced by low carbon technology only; furthermore, the increase of consumers’ environmental awareness cannot always lead to the decrease of carbon emissions, however, the increase of carbon tax can decrease manufacturer’s carbon emissions effectively.
