基于技术采用生命周期的“峡谷”理论,从市场、技术、产品和消费者四个维度对3D打印技术的“峡谷”期及跨越影响因素进行探讨。通过问卷找到现实和潜在用户,由现实采用者判断当前该技术处于“峡谷”左端,用户是以企业、政府等为代表的组织市场,潜在采用者是“峡谷”右端早期大众市场的用户代表,是跨越“峡谷”的关键所在,但两端用户关注的因素有显著差异。进一步对潜在采用者做探索性因子分析,发现“技术派”用户最有可能成为“峡谷”跨越的早期大众市场中的单一缝隙市场,“实用派”用户是进一步可扩展的细分市场。针对三类用户提出了“峡谷”跨越的策略建议。

Based on the theory of technology adoption life cycle, we research the “chasm” period of 3D printing technology and the influencing factors of crossing the “chasm” from the following aspects: market, technology, product, and user..Through analyses surveys to find the reality and potential users of 3D printing technology. It then analysis the reality users and find that 3D printing technology is in the left of the “chasm”, and the main user is corporations and government organizations,potential users are user representatives of the early mass market in the right of the “chasm”,and they are the key to crossing the “chasm”.Besides,there are significant differences in the focus factors between users at the both ends of the “chasm”. Through exploratory factor analysis on potential users,we find that the “technophiles” is most likely to be the users of a nicheSmarket in the early mass market,and the “pragmatists” may be a market segment for further expansion. Finally, this dissertation proposes some suggestions for three different types of users.
