Abstract:This paper gives a review of research findings of the functions, models, problems and countermeasures of rural science and technology service in agricultural colleges and universities in our country in the new century. Scholars have conducted fruitful research, mainly using qualitative research method and empirical generalization. The quantitative research on the capability and effect of rural science and technology service in China's agricultural colleges and universities is obviously insufficient. In this regard, we need to focus on the actual needs of farmers, and to enhance research on the rural science and technology service capabilities and effectiveness of agricultural colleges and universities, combining qualitative and quantitative research, in order to explore the mechanism innovation and path selection of rural science and technology service.
