Abstract:On the basis of illustrating the interactive coupling mechanism of economic development, innovation capability and ecological environment, this article established the comprehensive evaluation index system, using the physical coupling-degree model and mathematical model of coupling coordination to do the empirical study on the provincial panel data from the 11 provinces and municipalities in Yangtze River economic belt. The result has shown that, the general coupling coordinated development degree of the Yangtze River economic belt in the past decade was still in initial stage, mainly reflecting in the low interregional coordination degree and the imbalanced development among regional economy, innovation, and ecology. Specifically speaking, the high coupling coordination degrees of three eastern provinces shown the interaction positive resonance of growth, and the relative low in the midwest provinces; meanwhile, it should be noted that the economic and environmental developmental curves was growing obviously in different way. The main influences are as follows: the incompatibility between the extensive economic development model and carrying capacity of regional ecological environment; the insufficient support from technological innovation to the economy and ecology in some areas, and little spillover effect on other systems resulting from its developmental islanding situation, which can neither optimize industrial structure, nor feedback the economy and environment.
