Abstract:In order to explore the internal relations between the scientific and technological innovation ability in regional universities and the level of economic development, taking the panel data of 30 provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions) in China from 2005 to 2014 as an example, the coupling coordination model is established and analyzed from time and space. The study found that: in time, the university science and technology innovation ability and the level of economic development of the coupling coordination degree increased year by year, to 2014, Beijing took the lead into the quality of coordination, the overall across five levels; Spatially, the eastern region of the coupling coordination degree is higher than the central and western regions, The western region at a disadvantage.
