Abstract:Through constructing multitask principal-agent model and the corresponding empirical analysis, we analyze the performance of China's new energy automobile industry policy from the perspective of multi-tasking. The research results indicate that intensive incentives for the promotion of the new energy automobile industry have severely influenced the realization of the goals that technological breakthrough sets, with great difficulty judging the performance of technology in a short period, resulting in industry development chaos, such as local protectionism, “small and disperse” industrial organizations, lagging infrastructure construction and so on. The new energy automobile industry policy should exactly focus on the technological breakthrough while weakening the subsidy, employ the competition-oriented industrial policy and instruments, and establish and strengthen the new energy automobile industry ecology.
