Abstract:Taking 432 middle-senior managers as the study object,based on imprinting theory and social exchange theory,this paper empirically examines the effect of the different managers MBTI types on innovation behavior,and these relations are mediated by LMX,whether are moderated by the original family’s social class by using the survey data and the hierarchical regression method.The empirical results are as follows:it is indicated that ISTJ、ESTJ and INTJ are the typical personality types of the middle-senior managers,the ISTJ type and the INTJ type respectively shows positive influence on innovation behavior;the ESTJ type shows negative influence on innovation behavior;LMX plays a part mediating role in the relationship between the MBTI types and innovation behavior,which is positively moderated by the original family’s social class. It indicates that managers are effectively matched with their positions and should fully understand their personality,recognize the impact of previous life experiences on behavior preferences,actively break the mental model,and constantly improve their own innovative ability to meet the needs of enterprises and jobs.
