Abstract:This paper constructs the measurement system of scientific research achievements transformation and the measurement system of intellectual property protection in Chinese universities, and uses the statistical data of Chinese universities and statistics of intellectual property rights in 2008-2015 years.This paper introduces the intellectual property rights as a threshold variable, and empirically explores the "dormant wilderness" and "patent swamp" dilemma of the research cooperation in the transformation of scientific research achievements in Chinese universities. The results show that the cooperation of scientific research achievements transformation of the universities exists two threshold effect. When the level of intellectual property protection is less than 0.023, the cooperation of industry university research and university research can not effectively promote the transformation of scientific research achievements.When the level of intellectual property protection across the threshold value of 0.023, the industry university research cooperation can significantly promote the transformation of scientific research achievements.When the level of protection of intellectual property rights is more than 0.297, the effect of industry university research cooperation on the transformation of scientific research achievements in universities has been weakened.The research results provide some references for the transformation of scientific research achievements in Chinese universities.
