Abstract:This paper presents a general commercialization model(GCM) on high technology by analyzing the market-transfering process from the horizontal dimension view. First of all, the GCM contains 5 readiness levels as theory readiness, technology readiness, corporationalization readiness, financialization readiness and industrialization readiness. Secondly, there are 5 key transfering processes with GCM between those readinesses to manage and implement by the related stakeholders. Thirdly, GCM also has a very clear definition about the service stages for financial institution, and the life cycles on technology itself and venture capital investment. Meanwhile, the GCM has two types of practice as Supply Driven Path (SDP) and Demand Driven Path (DDP). The difference between them is that SDP is a commercialization model dominated by government or policy makers, while DDP is pushed by market or the industrial power. As an effective analyzing tool, the GCM can also help the stakeholders understand detail situation comprehensively and carry out relevant transfering practice.
