Abstract:China’s integration of informatization and industrialization (CIII) shares the similar ideas, tasks, methods and other aspects with German Industry 4.0. For further promoting CIII and constructing China’s world-leading manufacturing, it is great significant to take deep insight of the current development of CIII under the perspective of Industry 4.0. Taking Industry 4.0 Readiness model as benchmark, this paper quantifies and analyzes the development of CIII by focus on strategy and organization, smart factories, smart operations, products and services. The analysis shows that the enterprises in China pay less attention to strategic level. Most of them cannot effectively monitor and control, dynamically schedule and optimize the equipment and production process. Only a few enterprises can achieve the internal integration and inter-enterprise synergy. As they pay much attention to infrastructure, but far less to operation and management, their soft and hard power is uneven.
