Abstract:One of the current aspect for the competition among major powers in the world is the competition of development strategies focus on the future. Therefore, in recent years, they have formulated corresponding development strategies to try to occupy the commanding height. This article takes the recently released national development strategies of Germany and Japan as an example, combines with the similar strategies formulated by major global powers in the 1980s, sets out the comparability of the strategies of Germany and Japan, discusses the background of them, compares with the differences in trend, context, starting point and national conditions, finally concludes the inspiration of those two countries’ strategies.
