Abstract:This paper obtains high-speed rail patent data from Chinese universities and research institutes by searching the Incopat database. Taking the sample of 32 universities and research institutes in China, 11 patent evaluation indicators were selected, and a comprehensive analysis of empirical samples was conducted using factor analysis. The study found that the technological innovation capability of high-speed railways in Chinese universities and scientific research institutes has a wide gap, and it is unbalanced in terms of the overall level of technological innovation, average level of technological innovation, and technology innovation management. In response to these results, this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the high-speed railway technology innovation capability of Chinese universities and research institutes.
