Abstract:Under the background of de-capacity, the industrial transformation and upgrading of resource-exhausted mining areas is imminent. Relevant researches are mostly concentrated on the sustainable development of mining areas, the economics of recycling, and the extension of industrial chains. The research on the ideas and paths of industrial transformation and reconstruction is not systematic and in-depth. Taking Wangtaipu mine in Jincheng as an example, the RMIF analysis framework and PEST-SWOT model of industrial transformation were constructed to grasp the industrial reconstruction ideas and industrial orientation. Under this idea, the paper proposes the transformation and upgrading of the old mining area and the industrial reconstruction path of “multi-industry agglomeration development + high-end development of value chain + sustainable development of production city integration”, exploring new ideas and new models for transformation and upgrading of mining areas, and transforming and reconstructing mining areas. This has guiding and reference significance for industrial development and decision-making in the process of transformation and reconstruction of mining areas.
