Abstract:In this paper, the patent quality evaluation index system and the patent quality evaluation model are constructed by means of the literature study and the logistic regression analysis method, based on the transformation of biomedical patents in colleges and universities, the patent quality evaluation model is tested and verified, comparatively analyzes the biomedical patent quality of representative colleges and universities in China and the United States.The results of the study show that: there is a significant correlation between six indexes and the quality of biomedical patents in colleges and universities,including the number of citation, simple number of patents of the same family, the number of claims, the number of words of the first claim, the number of pages of patent documents, whether or not to entrust a patent agency; there is still a gap between the quality of biomedical patents in Chinese colleges and universities and that in the United States, which is mainly reflected in the lack of basic patents, core patents and international patent layouts, in addition, the quality of patent text writing needs to be improved.
