Abstract:Considering the decisive role of agricultural and forestry universities in agricultural scientific and research and innovation R&D, using the 2005-2016 invention patent application data (43248 records) of 41 agricultural and forestry universities collected by the national key industry patent database, the cooperative networks and knowledge networks are constructed respectively. Moreover, the effects of structural hole and degree centrality on the innovation performance of agricultural and forestry universities in cooperative networks and knowledge networks are studied respectively. The main findings of this paper show that in the cooperative network, the applicant''s structural hole and degree centrality have a significant inverted U-shaped relationship with the innovation performance of the university. The interaction between the applicant''s degree centrality and the structural square square term is for the agricultural and forestry colleges. Innovative performance has a significant negative adjustment effect. The interaction between the applicant''s structural hole and the central squared term has a significant positive adjustment effect on the innovation performance of colleges and universities; in the knowledge network, the structural hole and degree of the knowledge element Both have significant inverted U-shaped relationship with the innovation performance of colleges and universities. The interaction between the centrality of knowledge elements and the quadratic structure of structural elements has a significant negative adjustment effect on university performance innovation.
