Abstract:Taking 83 kinds of journals (except medical journals) of Guangdong sci-tech academic journals recognized by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television in November 2014 as the research objects, this paper investigates the willingness, motivation and behavior of periodical editors for the construction of the Journal group, as well as their encounters in the construction and reform of the journal group by means of questionnaires and field visits. The main difficulties and policy needs. The results show that 63% of the respondents think it is necessary to build a cluster, and most of them are non-university Journal editors; 58% of the respondents believe that the cluster construction is suitable for "the same field and the same core" journals; in the integration of Journal resources, all the respondents who support the cluster construction of journals believe that "editorial and publishing team". And talent is a resource that must be integrated; as many as 98 percent of respondents said their journal has never cooperated with other journals. Based on the above findings and the current situation of scientific and technological journals in Guangdong, we propose to explore the construction of academic scientific and technological journals (except medical journals) clusters in Guangdong on the premise of voluntary choice, and to establish journal clusters in universities, agricultural environment and food engineering journals, geochemistry and meteorological engineering according to the major fields of relevant specialties.
