Abstract:Build an evaluation index system of green innovation and green development, and China's 1997-2016 provincial panel data was used to comprehensively evaluate the level of green innovation and green development, and then based on the coupled-coordinated model, the coordinated spatial and temporal evolution of the two were conducted. In the meantime, the PVAR model was used to empirically analyze its interaction relationship. The results show that the degree of coupling between regional green innovation and green development is on the rise, but the overall coordination degree in the country is generally low and there has been a situation that is centered on impending misalignment and spreading to both sides of good coordination and moderate misalignment. For the dynamic relationship between the two, the green development in economically developed regions responds more to the impact of green innovation, and the green development in the economically sub-developed regions has a positive impact on their green innovation, while the interaction between green innovation and green development in underdeveloped regions is not significant.
