Abstract:In 2014, President Xi Jinping proposed to create a connectivity structure. Since then, China has put forward a series of policy measures to promote global economic, political, and cultural interconnection. Under this background, China"s industries are facing the urgent requirements of transformation and upgrading. The rapid growth of the economy is closely related to industrial transformation and upgrading. Under the connectivity blueprint, there are some urgent problems to be solved between the industrial transformation and upgrading and the interaction of high-speed growth in the economy. For example, economic growth has an inertial dependence on traditional industries and the industrial structure is unbalanced; existing institutional mechanisms restrict industrial vitality and neglect that industrial restructuring and upgrading have a deferring effect on economic growth; there is an aging population and lack of high-level personnel reserves in the interaction between industrial upgrading and high-speed economic growth; lack of entrepreneurship and so on. It is proposed that China should seize the opportunity of transformation and upgrading provided by connectivity, readjust and optimize the industrial structure, strengthen the innovation of institutional mechanisms, build a promising government, change talent input methods, absorb and attract outstanding talents from abroad, stimulate and protect entrepreneurial spirit, and enhance the vitality of enterprises. In this way, a benign pattern of positive interaction between industrial transformation and upgrading and high-speed economic growth can be formed.
