Abstract:Based on the perspective of evaluation and management of scientific and technological innovation achievements under the big data environment, this paper studies the scientific connotation and academic value of co-cited references number of articles in scientific and technological journals. By frequency analysis, regression analysis and variance coefficient analysis to compare and analyze co-cited references number and citation frequency of papers in scientific journals. The features and evaluation functions of co-cited references number were discussed. The citation frequency and co-cited references number have both positive correlation property and significant differences. Selecting representative examples to further study, it illustrates that the connotation of co-cited references number is more abundant. From the perspective of scientific communication and evaluation, the time response rate of co-cited references number is faster than that of citation frequency, and the data has the advantages of objectivity, scientificity and validity under the big data environment. Co-cited references number contains a strong evaluation function, involving the academic influence of journals, papers, authors, as well as subject or topic heat. It can be an important supplement to academic evaluation.
