Abstract:[Purpose/Significance]For the purpose of revealling the development status of global fiber laser industry technology,providing reference for the development direction of fiber laser industry technology in China. [Method/Process]Based on the patent data of the past ten years, this paper reveals the research progress of global fiber laser industry technology from the perspectives of patent application situation, regional competitiveness, R&D institution strength, hot spot research areas,etc. [Result/Conclusion]In recent ten years, China's patented technology of fiber laser has developed rapidly and the industry has broad prospects. However, the R&D institutes as a whole lack the awareness of overseas layout. High power fiber laser materials and devices, special optical fibers, fiber coupling technology and fiber laser processing technology are the current research and development hotspots. In the future, we can focus on the research and development trends of ultra-fast laser speed synthesis, non-linear effect regulation of fiber laser and other technical fields.The R&D capability of core components in upstream industry is inadequate. Technical barriers to core components such as optical fiber dielectrics, high power pump source chips and high power fiber gratings need to be broken through.
