Abstract:Since the beginning of the 21st century, the Internet has become an important driving force for the development of the tertiary industry. In order to explore the spatial correlation and spatial heterogeneity of the provinces in the process of the synergistic development of China's Internet and the tertiary industry, this paper takes the 2012 and 2016 cross-sectional data as samples and uses the GWR model for empirical analysis. The study finds out that the regional distribution of the Internet's influence on the tertiary industry is related to the factor endowments in different regions and be affected by the industrial agglomeration and industrial dispersion. In the new era of service crowdsourcing mode, it is influenced by knowledge spillovers and the social economy, the “human” factor is more prominent. Finally, this paper provides reasonable suggestions for the development of current government policies and Internet companies.
