Abstract:Based on the technology trajectory and industry life cycle theory, this paper systematically analyzes the evolution path of disruptive technology innovation in China represented by nanotechnology, to research the problems in development and put forward policy proposals. Through patent analysis method, the evolution path of nanotechnology innovation is studied from three dimensions of patent network structure, patent knowledge flow and patent centrality, and then this study determines the development stage of nanotechnology industry in China. Data analysis shows that China has an absolute advantage in terms of the number of patents, and nanotechnology scientific research organizations are gradually transforming from knowledge importers to knowledge exporters. It is concluded that the main body of nanotechnology industry in China are universities and various scientific research institutions and the development of firm-level nanotechnology is still in the initial stage, and the whole industry is in the stage of transformation from basic science and technology-oriented to application-oriented.
