传统的医院科研管理模式存在临床缺乏科研动力、基础研究与临床脱节、科研运行机制矛盾突出等众多问题。PI制作为发达国家大多数实验室的运作方式，在提升科研实力、创造高水平科研成果等方面发挥着重要作用。广东省中医院以PI制为核心，立足本院实际，构建实践了一套科研团队运行模式，取得了较好的成果，为医院科研团队管理优化探索一条新的途径。
