Abstract:In this paper, based on attention-based view, we empirically investigate the effect of top management team attention on firm technology acquisition model, and tests that from the two aspects of property right and marketization. Based on manually collected data about top management team attention and technology acquisition pattern, the results show that: firstly, the more attention the top management allocate to intelligent products, the more likely they are to choose internal R D and technology purchase. The more attention paid to intelligent production, the more likely they are to choose the mode of technology purchase and cooperative R D. Secondly, in non-state-owned enterprises and the regions of higher marketization, the attention of the top management’s intelligent products has a positive impact on the choice of internal R D model. In state-owned enterprises and the regions of lower marketization, the attention of the top management’s intelligent products has a positive impact on the choice of technology purchase model. The third, the positive effect of top management’s intelligent production attention on the choice of technology purchase model is more obvious in state-owned enterprises, and the effect on the choice of cooperative R D mode is more obvious in non-state-owned enterprises
