Abstract:The positive impact of transactive memory system has been verified, however, few scholars pay attention to its mechanism in the field of top management team(TMT) and the process of its effect on organizational innovation performance. Based on the upper echelons theory, this study builds a model under the paradigm of resource-capability-performance, in order to reveal the relationship between TMT transactive memory system, capability reconfiguration, TMT reflexivity and innovation performance by investigating 318 top management team members of high-technology enterprises in China. The results show that: (1) TMT transactive memory system has positive effect on innovation performance. (2) Capability reconfiguration mediates the relationship between TMT transactive memory system and innovation performance. (3) TMT reflexivity positively moderates the relationship between capability reconfiguration and innovation performance, which also moderates the mediating effect of capability reconfiguration between TMT transactive memory system and innovation performance.
