Abstract:With the releasing of the “One Centre, One Belt, One District” strategy plan, the problem of unbalanced regional development in Guangdong province has become urgent problem to be solved. We uses Total Factor Productivity (TFP) to solve the unbalanced regional development problem, which to increase the TFP in the poor region. How to increase the TFP? To expand the scientific and technical input in this region. So we makes an empirical analysis by using the panel data in Guangdong Province from 2001 to 2017. The research shows that scientific and technical input has a significant positive impact on TFP. Therefore, the government can reduce the gap of TFP by adjusting the structure of scientific and technical input.
