Abstract:By taking 21 cities of the Zhujiang-Xijiang economic belt as the measurement object, the evaluation index system of the green development of the Zhujiang-Xijiang economic belt was established to comprehensively analyze the current situation and path of the green development of the region and explore its green development advantages to improve the level of the regional green development. The research results show that : (1) From 2004 to 2016, the green development level of the Pearl River-Xijiang Economic Belt showed an overall upward trend. The green development of all regions has improved to varying degrees. However, the regional green development is uneven and the development level is still low.(2)The Pearl River-Xijiang Economic Belt has a distinct hierarchical nature. The greening degree of economic growth shows the development trend of "decreasing first and then increasing", and it shows that distribution pattern of high in the east and low in the west. The index of carrying potential of resources and environment changed from low inside and high outside to U shape with low inside and high outside, which reflects the difficulty in transforming regional industrial structure; The higher value area of green investment and construction index is moving to the peripheral area, and the area of high level area is expanding; In addition, the comprehensive evaluation index of green development level has been rising steadily in recent years, among which the high-level area has gradually shifted from northwest to southeast and central.(3)Correlation analysis shows that the main factors affecting the green development level of the Pearl River-Xijiang Economic Belt include economic development level, industrial structure type, traffic convenience, topographical status, resource status, environmental protection, production regulation, etc.(4)According to the research results, the optimization proposals are proposed from the aspects of economic development, industrial transformation, green investment and policy guidance.
