Abstract:Whether trade friction affects the upgrading and development of China's intellectual property (patent) intensive industries, and how the value-added of enterprises and R&D investment affect the patent applications of intellectual property (patent) intensive industries are the core issue of this paper. Based on the existing literature, this research builds a test model and conduct empirical research based on panel data of listed companies with intellectual property (patent) intensive industries from 2013 to 2018, it turns out that trade frictions have affected the added value and development of enterprises, and the impact of R&D expenditure on patent applications is significant while technical stuff is not. The higher the patent intensity, the lower the impact of trade friction on the industry. Based on this, this research puts forward corresponding policy recommendations.
