Abstract:Based on the research of Internet technology and regional innovation efficiency, this paper systematically analyzes the impact of e-commerce development, private manufacturing agglomeration, and their interaction on regional innovation efficiency from the perspective of e-commerce business model. Using panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2014 to 2017 and OLS regression analysis, the empirical research results show that the development of e-commerce has an inverted "U" effect on the regional innovation efficiency, while private manufacturing industry agglomeration plays a significant regulatory role. Policy recommendations are that, to improve regional innovation efficiency, governments need to promote the development of regional e-commerce according to the actual situation of e-commerce development in each province; strengthen the construction of market environment and the protection of network intellectual property rights to ensure the sustainable and healthy development of e-commerce; build a good innovation support system to promote the transformation and upgrading of private manufacturing industries.
