Abstract:Based on the data of economic of 19 cities at or above the sub provincial level from 2008 to 2017 and the data of scientific and technological innovation of colleges and universities lagging behind for one year, this paper uses entropy method to measure scientific and technological innovation ability and high-quality economic development level of urban Universities, and uses panel model to empirically examine the impact of scientific and technological innovation of colleges and universities on high-quality economic development. The results show that: the level of high-quality economic development in 19 cities and the ability of scientific and technological innovation in Colleges and universities have been improved, but the degree of improvement is differentiated; the scientific and technological innovation in Colleges and universities has a significant role in promoting the development of high-quality urban economy, especially the cultivation of scientific and technological innovation talents in Colleges and universities is an important positive factor; the scientific and technological innovation in Colleges and universities in five cities with separate plans has a high-quality urban economy Compared with other cities, the impact of quantitative development is significantly different. Based on the research conclusion, this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to strengthen the input level of scientific and technological innovation, attach importance to the transformation and application of scientific and technological project achievements, and give full play to the role of scientific and technological innovation in high-quality economic development.
