Abstract:Exhibits and exhibitions are the foundation of science and technology museum. Science popularization display is the core of science and technology museum’s construction. The problems of “seemingly familiar” exhibitions and “multiply museums with one visage” of venues have been criticized by the public for a long time, which has greatly restricted the development of science and technology museums. One of the underlying reasons reflected is the difficulty of exhibitions’ innovation. In recent years, Guangdong Science Center has adopted various cooperation modes such as "Museum-Administration" and "Museum-Enterprise", through cross-professional/industry collaborative research and in-depth cooperation, it has established a dual-led collaborative innovation model of "Design + Management" and built the world's first “Four Products (food, medicine, health food, cosmetics) and One Instrument (medical instrument)” and other two science experience halls. Batches of innovative exhibitions with interactive and immersive experience, which are "fresh and new", are developed and highly praised by the audience. Based on the practice of Guangdong Science Center, this article focuses on the main points and difficulties of science popularization collaborative innovation, analyzes the practical significance of science popularization display collaborative innovation, explores the implementation path of science popularization collaborative innovation, and proposes that science popularization collaborative innovation is an important paradigm for promoting science popularization innovation and will effectively promote the better and faster development of science and technology museum.
