Abstract:Based on the evaluation index system of ecological civilization construction and industrial upgrade, this paper analyses the coupling relationship between ecological civilization construction and industrial upgrade of 21 cities in Guangdong province from 2000 to 2017 by coupling model. The results show that: ①Coupling coordination level, Guangdong has gone through “the running-in stage moving forward, the antagonism and the running-in stage alternating, the running-in and the coordination stage leading the road”. Besides, the quantities of cities in “the antagonism stage, the running-in stage, the coordination stage” presented a characteristic of “two narrow, middle wide” and form a radial pattern centered on the Pearl River Delta. ②Relative development level, Guangdong has gone through “most cities remained a delay status, cities with a synchronized status catching up, cities with a synchronized status still rising abruptly”. Besides, the quantities of cities with “statuses in advance, statuses in synchronize, statuses in delay” presented a characteristic of “the structure of triangle step” and the trend of spreading outward is formed with cities in coastal zones as the core. ③Types of the coupled coordination development level, most cities are in type Ⅳ, Ⅴ and Ⅶ, and the types of coastal cities are more high-class. Finally, this paper proposes relevant policy recommendations from the province, the district and the city level.
