Abstract:With the continuous innovation of new economic growth and technological innovation, regional industrial transformation and upgrading, industrial innovation and development of the imbalance between regions is serious. This paper uses SUPER-SBM model to measure the technological innovation efficiency of traditional industries and high-tech industries in 29 provinces in China before and after ten years, and coefficient of variation and the natural classification method are used to depict the spatial distribution map of industrial regional innovation efficiency, and then the comparative study is carried out from the dimension of space-time. The results show that the regional innovation efficiency level of large and medium-sized traditional industries and high-tech industries in China has been improved by about 20% in the past decade, and the average innovation efficiency of the two industries is about 0.7 ten years later. There is still a large room for improvement from high efficiency. From the perspective of spatial dimension, the differences of industrial innovation efficiency among the four economic zones have been narrowed, but the innovation development among provinces in the central region is imbalanced. The improvement of innovation efficiency in traditional industries mainly show the provinces have continued to make progress on their own basis, The change of innovation efficiency in high-tech industries shows a phenomena from the eastern coastal provinces to the central and western regions, and high efficiency presents a "cross" distribution in space that consists of four provinces of Shanxi, Henan, Jiangxi and Guangdong vertically and six provinces of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Chongqing and Sichuan horizontally belong to the Yangtze River economic belt.
