Abstract:Aiming at the problems of the lack of route index, real-time composite index and sample collection limitations in the existing methods of compiling shipping indices, this paper proposes a new method for compiling shipping indices based on blockchain. First, using the characteristics of the distributed consensus in blockchain and the detrust and self-execution in smart contract to design the route index that can be deployed on demand and calculate the real-time shipping composite index; then expanding the freight rate data collection required for the blockchain-based index calculation, during the data collection process, a token-based incentive mechanism and a paired quotation model for shipping companies and shippers in the blockchain were designed, and the game model is used to verify its effectiveness, solving the problem of lack of incentives and data fraud derived from the new method. Finally, the basic framework of the shipping index compilation method based on the blockchain and its freight data on-chain are introduced. This article provides a new idea for compiling shipping indices based on the blockchain, and provides a new method for the shipping sector to optimize indice compilation.
